3/4 Size Electric Guitar Case Olive Drab by Phitz Reviews

3/4 Size Electric Guitar Case—Durable, Padded, Soft Carrying Gig Bag with Backpack Straps, Olive Drab by Phitz

  • With interior dimensions of 35″ x 13″, this case fits most 3/4-size electric guitars, including: Dean Avalanche Mini, Dean Playmat Evo J, ESP Limited EC-Junior, Fender Squier Mini, and Washburn RX6.
  • This is a meaningful upgrade from a cheap gig bag. It’s more protective, with .6″ foam padding and water-resistant fabrics. We use heavy-duty luggage-grade thread throughout, and stress points are double-stitched.
  • The case has all the pockets that you’ll likely need. The front pocket will hold sheet music, cables, folders and/or straps. The neck pocket has room for tuners, picks, and extra strings.
  • Almost-zero return rate – in the last twelve months, the return rate on this case was less than .2%! We’re happy that customers who purchased this case are so obviously satisfied with the product that they received.

A gig bag this nice at this price? Wow. It’s a bargain. The bag looks great and is well padded with several pockets, providing more than adequate storage. You get a nice big pocket in the front for cables and such, a less deep pocket in front of that for something like a folder or sheet music, and a smaller pocket by the neck which is perfect for stashing a pack of strings and some picks.. The only small qualm I have is that the backpack straps are pretty easily tangled due to the size of the loop they are fed into, but that’s a really insignificant gripe. Since I’ve only had this case a couple weeks it remains to be seen how well it holds up with the light travel/gigging that I do, but at this time I definitely recommend it.

Stylish design, good value., January 13, 2015

Attractive soft case, many stylish colors available. Larger and more useful pockets than my other soft cases. Seems like just enough padding to protect a guitar-any less and I’d say it needed more, any more would increase weight and bulk. Straps are comfortable and case is reasonably priced.

A Great and Unique Case., November 5, 2014

This case is great for the price. The price for the design I picked (Pixel Printed) was lower than the other cases at the time I purchased it, but that doesn’t take away the great value.

I needed a case for my new electric guitar so I looked for a case that would fit the budget but also provide adequate protection for it. I do play acoustic guitar, and I bought the popular ChromaCast gig bag… but I was left a little disappointed when I zipped it up for the first time and the zipper simply broke off.

So, seeking an alternative, I came upon PHITZ’s wide selections of gig bags.

I could say that, as a student in design/illustration, I was pretty excited to see that this company has bags that deviate from your standard dark and neutral colors for other gig bags. I also didn’t want to carry around a gig bag that has a giant logo on the front of it – my guitar was not a Fender or Epiphone Les Paul, so…

Anyways, I picked the most appealing bag to me, and found that it was quite cheap, so I snatched it right up. Arrived in 2 days in well protected packaging.

I’m basing my review off of first impressions. Swinging the bag around a bit and tugging on the zippers…

The quality is fantastic. For the price – especially the price – it’s fantastic. Strong sewing, adequate padding (with a red interior!), and tough zippers. The design is exactly as you see here on Amazon. There’s a pocket in the front which fits my scale books and other accessories perfectly. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the features of this case.

I might add a note that this bag is quite thin – the dimensions of the bag are listed here on Amazon so don’t expect a monstrous amount of padding. However, if you’re careful with your instruments and you don’t feel like you fling them around, this case will most certainly do the trick.
