Bought this book as a birthday gift for my dad to play for his grandson. He said that the book is great because it has plenty of well known songs and easy to learn chords. He is having fun with the book and is enjoying playing guitar for grand baby. Good buy!

My wife and I had a baby 5 months ago. He likes music especially Tool and Metallica. He is broadening his musical interests and has most recently enjoyed the Beatles. My wife, who has a nice voice and plays the guitar a bit, tends to put him to bed by singing him the same two lullabies. one is that “hush little baby” song and the other only has one line “Sleepy baby yeah yeah, sleepy baby in the night”. I also sing hush little baby, and about 30 other songs as not to be repetitive, but my singing ability is terrible and he is already starting to realize that so my wife ends up singing to him most nights. By this point Ive heard those same two songs so much I wanna pull my hair out, so I bought my wife and baby this book as a Christmas gift, but Im not sure I can wait another two weeks to give it to them. The book is designed for beginners to learn to play guitar, but I just wanted it for the sheet music and lyrics for us to learn some. In case your wondering we have several lullaby music boxes which he does not seem to like very much, so I also bought him a childrens cd player to play him some real music I will burn for him and he will be able to play with it as he gets older.

This book makes it fun to play along with the CD. It’s not too difficult but helps the guitarist to advance in their playing techniques.
